Podcast for language learning

Podcast is an interesting tool to teach English Language in the classroom.  I have found one useful activity using podcast.  You may try this with your students.

The context:
Students' level: Year 5 and Year 6 (Pre-intermediate)
Age: 10 to 11 years old
Lesson Unit: Food
Goals: To enhance students' listening skill using Podcast
            To follow instructions for procedural writing.


The description of the activity:

• Listening activity at the beginning of the lesson before the students do the procedural writing.
• Through listening the students learn new vocabulary to be used in the writing activity.
•  The students also able to follow instructions on how to make an ice cream.

I'm DD from Brunei Darussalam.  I'm an education officer teaching in Sungai Akar Arabic School.  I'm teaching English Language. Now,  I'm attending a Brunei-U.S. English Language Enrichment Project for ASEAN 2014 at the East West Center, University of Hawaii.
